Dr. Puri is a pharmacist by educational training and has M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Pharmaceutical Sciences. He has particular expertise in parenteral product development and injectable microparticulate sustained drug delivery systems. Prior to founding IPI, Dr. Puri has had seven years of work experience in major US pharmaceutical industry, primarily including Baxter Healthcare Corp., and Amgen Inc. He was credited with establishing a novel technology platform for blending drugs for parenteral administration while working at Baxter. In addition, he had successfully developed lipid based formulations for inhalation anesthetics. He has published numerous research and review articles in eminent scientific journals, authored patents and made presentations at national and international scientific conferences. He has been an active member of several scientific societies. Dr. Puri has extensive expertise of developing and licensing out niche product technologies.
