Management Team

Navneet Puri, Ph.D.
President & CEO

InnoPharma, Inc. was founded by Dr. Navneet Puri. Dr. Puri is a pharmacist by educational training and has M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Pharmaceutical Sciences. He has particular expertise in parenteral product development and injectable microparticulate drug delivery systems.

Prior to founding InnoPharma, Inc. Dr. Puri has had several years of work experience in major US pharmaceutical industry, primarily including Baxter Healthcare Corp., and Amgen Inc. His professional experience was primarily in parenteral pharmaceutical formulations, process R&D and microparticulate based sustained drug delivery systems for parenteral administration. He was also involved in Business Development and Project Management. He was credited with establishing a novel technology platform for blending drugs for parenteral administration while working at Baxter. He has published numerous research and review articles in eminent scientific journals, authored patents and made presentations at national and international scientific conferences.


Sriram J. Ramanathan, MS, MBA
Chief Operating Officer

Mr. Ramanathan is a co-founder in InnoPharma, Inc. He is a pharmacist by educational training and has an MS degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences. Prior to joining InnoPharma, Inc., Mr. Ramanathan has had several years of experience in major US pharmaceutical industry, including Roche Vitamins Inc, Inhale Therapeutics (now Nektar Therapeutics), Alpharma and Cardinal Health. His professional experience and expertise ranges from R&D, process development, regulatory affairs and operations, as well as management of projects through development, regulatory filing and commercialization.

Satish Pejaver, Ph.D.
Chief Scientific Officer

Dr Pejaver joined InnoPharma, Inc. as its CSO after approx. 23 years of R&D experience in industry, majority of which was at Baxter Healthcare Corp.

Dr Pejaver played a key role in growing the generic injectable business unit of Baxter, and was responsible for developing various generic injectable products, as well as few selected NCEs. While at Baxter, he led a team of 80+ scientists, in groups including analytical R&D, stability R&D, formulation and process R&D for injectable as well as inhalation anesthetics. In addition to R&D he also worked closely with project management and regulatory affairs groups, in successful development, regulatory filing and commercial launch of several products, most significant of which was generic propofol injectable emulsion.

At InnoPharma, Inc., Dr Pejaver provides operational as well as strategic R&D leadership. He leads the entire R&D team of InnoPharma, Inc., as well as its regulatory operations & affairs and project management groups. 

Kanu Patel, Ph.D.
Vice President – Project Management

Following his Ph.D., Dr Patel worked as post-doctoral fellow from 1978 through 1983 at three different academic institutions (including Argonne National Laboratory, Hormel Institute and Caltech), focusing primarily on developing various liposomal formulations for cancer chemotherapy.

Dr. Patel has over 25 years of parenteral pharmaceutical drug development and drug delivery experience in the pharmaceutical industry. His experience includes working with large and small molecules, immediate and sustained release formulations, for parenteral, ophthalmic, or oral dosage. He has worked at both large and small pharmaceutical companies such as Monsanto/Pharmacia, Halsey Drug, Sicor/Teva Pharmaceutical, MGI Pharma, and Othera Pharmaceutical. Dr. Patel has hands-on experience with design and development of opioid, antibiotics, anti-tumor agents, anesthetic agent, steroid, chelating agent, and recombinant proteins formulations. Additionally, he has worked on variety of sustained release formulations technologies such as microspheres, liposome, homogeneous oil suspension, aqueous solution, and solid implants. Dr. Patel has also several years of experience in managing, supervising, and providing technical directions to the group of formulation and analytical scientists. He has experience in all area of pharmaceutical product development such as formulation development, bioassay, analytical, manufacturing using CRO, and CMC documents preparation. He has published several research papers and has several formulation related patents.

The key management is supported by a team of scientists, including 10 PhDs
